Great North Rally 2016 Oct 30th!

Our Subaru owners annual charity cruise, the Great North Rally for 2016, is being held on Sunday 30th October 2016 and is raising money once again for Cystic Fibrosis NSW, in memory of club member Liam Wild who we lost to this in 2012 when he was just 28.

http://www.cysticfibrosis.org.au/nsw/

Last year we were able to raise over $1300 which we aim to top again this year.

Those coming from Sydney will be meeting at Thornleigh McDonalds from 8:30am for a 9am departure where we will use the M1 (F3) to Tuggerah McDonalds.  Contact person there will be club member Craig Jefferies in his grey MY05 STI with SNOOZ on the number plate, if you can't find him look for Adam Fish in a red MY12 STI hatch.

If you are coming down from North of Tuggerah we now have a meet point at Warners Bay Autobarn carpark at 8.30am, contact there will be club member AJ who will either be in his grey 99 WRX wide body or a black tuned by STi GT Liberty wagon.

There will be a *voluntary* $5 per car donation which will get you a ticket in the lucky door prize, and we will be selling raffle tickets for many prizes we will have on the day.

Following the raffle we will head to Wollombi and Wollombi Tavern via the attached directions.

In regards to eating at the Tavern, there are also other options 2 mins up the road, also there is a mass of grass at the tavern to bring some chairs and a rug, and some food of your own perhaps. There will obviously not be enough seating for everybody so I encourage you to throw a chair in just in case.

Please indicate when you register if you intend on eating at the pub so I can let them know beforehand.

After lunch you are free to leave when you wish and most head home via Broke and the Putty Rd to Windsor.

Perhaps, as it was the last couple of years, there may be some members that cannot attend but still wish to donate to Cystic Fibrosis in memory of Liam.

If any member would like to do that please visit this website http://www.cysticfibrosis.org.au/nsw/ and make your donation, big or small. Please then contact me and let me know the amount and I will add that to the announcement of total money raised by our club for this great cause.

If you have a CB bring that along and we will be on channel 21

Please ensure that you have enough fuel before you leave Tuggerah, options for 98 Ron fuel are indicated below at Tuggerah, and there is now also another Woolies Caltex another 1km down the road towards Wyong from the BP

For those that require E85, just south of Tuggerah as you're heading up the F3 at Ourimbah is United.

Please note that this is a family friendly cruise to raise money for a worthy charity.  Any inconsiderate or antisocial behaviour on or off the road will not be tolerated, if the police wouldn't like you doing it then neither will we!  The Impreza WRX Club will cooperate fully with authorities should any issues occur.

If you would like to join us for a fun day out and help raise money for Cystic Fibrosis NSW please register at the link below so we know how many people/cars to expect:

Here are some details from Luke about his involvement in this event and details of the prize on offer:

"The reason I try and contribute what I can to support the Cystic Fibrosis foundation is that my younger brother Matthew was afflicted with this horrible disease, he was like myself a bit of a Subaru nut so it seems fitting that I honour his memory by giving something towards supporting research, care and well being of CF sufferers and their families.

I started my professional detailing experience when I was 13 years old and quickly found I not only love cars but love making them shine!"
